"La Razón de Estar Contigo"  es una película familiar de comedia y drama dirigida por Lasse Hallström y escrita por Audrey Wells basada en la novela del mismo nombre del autor humoristico W. Bruce Cameron publicada en el 2010 y duró 49 semanas en la lista de bestsellers del New York Times. La cinta, protagonizada por Britt Robertson, Dennis Quaid, Josh Gad, Peggy Lipton y Juliet Rylance, tiene programado su estreno en Estados Unidos el 27 de enero del 2017.

El filme cuenta las aventuras de un perro  que vive a través de varias vidas reencarnandose en diferentes canes. Durante su viaje, hará amistad con los humanos que lo consideran familia mientras busca su propósito en la vida y al mismo tiempo les enseñará a sus dueños a amar y a reír.
