Theo and Beau

Me encanta navegar por internet para descubrir cosas nuevas. Saltar de una página a otra o de un blog a otro, hasta encontrar artículos interesantes, ideas para hacer tu mismo, fotos increíbles o lugares donde me perdería todos los días. Es una estupenda forma de relajarme y evadirme un ratito tras un día agotador. Y esto que os traigo hoy es uno de mis grandes descubrimientos.

Theo es un perrito mitad Pastor Alemán, mitad Shar-Pei que fue adoptado de un refugio de animales en Santa Cruz por Beau y su familia. Beau tenía sólo 23 meses cuando Theo llegó a casa e inmediatamente se convirtieron en grandes e inseparables amigos. Todos los días, a la hora de la siesta, Theo esperaba pacientemente a que Beau se durmiera y entonces se acurrucaba junto a él e incluso encima de él. Unas preciosas imágenes de amistad y confianza que la madre de Beau empezó a colgar en su blog Moma´s gone the City, convirtiéndose inmediatamente en viral. La imágenes también las cuelga en Instagram.

Tal ha sido el éxito que a principios del 2015 publicará un libro: La hora de la siesta con Theo y Beau, que ya se puede reservar.

I love surfing the internet to discover new things. Jump from one page to another or from one blog to another, to find interesting articles, ideas to do yourself, incredible photos or places where I'd lose every day. It's a great way to relax and escape me for a while after a busy day. And this I bring you today is one of my greatest discoveries.

Theo is a puppy (part-German Shepherd, part-Shar-Pei)  rescued by Beau and his family and his family from an animal shelter in Santa Cruz. Beau was a twenty-three months old baby when Theo arrived home The two of them instantly became the best of friends. Each day, at nap time, Theo waits patiently for Beau to fall asleep, then curls up next to or on top of him—an adorable and beautiful image of friendship and trust.

Theo and Beau are already a viral sensation thanks to the gorgeous photos that author (and Beau’s mother) Jessica Shyba has been posting on her popular blog Momma’s Gone City. And now, she’s combed through her hundreds of pictures to find the very sweetest and matched them to a charming bedtime story to make a picture book: Naptime with Theo and Beau, available on 2/3/15.
